Yaaneh ( wich means « it means » in Arabic) is a proposition by artist Cathy Jardon-A painter who explored geometric abstraction for 20 years and always sees a painting as an object to live with. With Domestic Paintings, she embarks on a new journey where culture and geometry are hand printed on home textiles. Each piece is unique, designed between Berlin, where she lives, and Beirut, where she collaborates with local artisans to bring this project to life. Her work draws inspiration from conversations, everyday forms, and popular Lebanese culture, blending abstraction with subtle nods and references. « Being married to a Lebanese man, I find myself on a daily basis connected to this country »
In today’s context, Yaaneh stands as an act of resistance and a vibrant ode to the Lebanese culture. August 2026
